Building a Garden Kitchen in Somerset

If the word Somerset didn’t already exist, it would have to be invented, probably by a screenwriter trying to capture a certain image of rural South West England – rolling hills, lush pastureland, laconic locals, traditions unbroken for hundreds of years – and all shot in the lazy, hazy light of a glorious summer’s evening.

The remit was a simple one (kind of!). To build an indoor kitchen, that lives outdoors.

Something aethestically beautiful and functional that could stand up to the elements, would host intimate evenings and be able to cater for large social gatherings. It needed to blend in with its incredible countryside setting, yet also stand out... without being too shiny and ostentatious. 

When Clifton Outdoor Kitchens was tasked with designing and building a custom outdoor kitchen in the heart of Somerset, we knew we had to deliver.
